I'm excited to introduce you to Lagrein, a wonderful red varietal originating from the Alto Adige region of Italy. It has dense aromas of plum and blackberry, elegant oak from 20 months of barrel aging and an earthy, mineral quality. The wine has rustic, firm tannins and concentrated fruit on the palate. This red wine pairs well with veal, lamb or pulled pork while also delicious on its own.
